It was another chilly night in Heron Cove. The Moon gleamed off of the waves from rolling tide. Kallie had taken a moonlight stroll along the beach. She had been walking for about twenty minutes now, wandering on the shoreline. A few hundred feet ahead was the pier, Lost Ship Pier.
Earlier that day, her aunt Melinda was telling her about some of the local history and myths. The was a captivating story of two star crossed lovers and the lost ship pier. To Kallie the story sounded like a rip off of a some what modern day Romeo & Juliet.
She arrived at the pier. She found many small rocks, that were perfect for skipping. Kallie collected a few and put them in the pocket of her jeans. Her Brunette hair blew in the wind as she looked out at the water. If only mom were here to see this...

A light breeze blew across Heron Cove's beach, causing a bit of sand to stir, the shimmering water to ripple slightly as it retreated into the ocean, and a young Hayden Callahan's jeans to blow a bit to his left as he sat, legs dangling from the end of what he swore his mother had called Lost Ship Pier just an half an hour back.
The dirty blonde boy could be seen staring at the moonlit waters beneath him and the old, wooden pier upon which he sat, lost in thought -- most of which revolved around the upcoming school year. Hayden was new to Heron Cove, and knew not a soul in the miniscule town, save for himself and his mother, Emma. It was rather nerve racking, really. After all, he was terribly used to knowing everyone in his school in Augusta by name... But here? Here, he knew only his own name. He would be telling it to others; others whom, in all likelihood, have known everyone else in town since their birth.
Being an outsider will definitely be a change... he mused, letting a soft sigh escape his lips as he quickly scanned the beach.
Just then, his honey brown eyes caught the sight of a fair-looking girl strolling along the shoreline. Without even thinking, the boy leapt to his feet, turned right on his heel, located the ladder half-way down the pier, and descended it quickly. Steeling himself for a meet-and-greet, the boy trudged across the sand, feeling rather uncomfortable as both sand and a bit of sea spray made its way into the boy's shoes.
Nevertheless, he mentally shook it off as he came nearer and nearer to the girl that he'd seen from his perch on the pier. Once within earshot, Hayden shot a toothy grin the girl's way, and simply said, "'Ello there..." He wasn't entirely sure as to whether she would say something back or not, but nevertheless, the practice introducing himself, or in this case, potentially just saying hello, would likely prove useful come the first day of school.

The light breeze caught Kallie's hair making it blow into her face. She moved the strands from her faced and laughed. She continued to skip stones along the water. Each skip of the rock distorted the image of the moonlit shore.
Seconds later she hear a voice say "'Ello there..." and she turned around she saw him a few feet away from her. He was a boy with dirty blonde hair with these honey brown eyes. Thats an interesting look. The boy was obviously cute and had a killer smile. He looked like a native of the town or a least knew a bit about this place she ended up in. Kallie wonder where he came from and what he was doing here at this hour.
"Hello."she responded back with a genuine smile. What should I say next?she wanted to ask him so many things. Like who he was and what he likes. She fidgeted with her hair a bit. It was some what of a nervous habit with her. "Come here often?"
