history;
Hailey and Owen were high school sweethearts, back in California, but not Sunny California. They both lived in San Francisco where the weather is cold and there is fog year-round. But San Francisco was also a lively city that you could never get bored in. Shortly after graduation, they got married, much both their parents' dismay. According to them, they were too young. But they loved each other and what their parents said didn't matter. In hopes of freshly starting a life together, they moved to Augusta, with the help of Owen's aunt who had lived there.
It didn't take them long to get settled into the town, and soon enough Hailey was pregnant with Camilla. Neither of them knew where they stood on having children, but they knew they wanted them someday. They just didn't think "someday" would happen so fast. Even though it was unexpected, they still welcomed Camilla into the family lovingly. With the help of Owen's aunt, they were both able to get jobs, Hailey at the local florist and Owen at the local sports bar as a bus boy. While they worked to help provide for Camilla, Owen's aunt watched over Camilla much like a grandmother would. They grew very close.
Camilla grew up with a typical childhood, complete with childhood fads and phases. There was the ballerina phase, the veterinarian phase, as well as the astronaut phase. The only thing that truly stuck with her was piano. She loved to play the old piano in her great aunt's living room. Her fingers played the keys awkwardly when she was young, but when she grew older, her fingers learned to move dextrously and gracefully. During all this piano, you would think Camilla developed a good singing voice. More or less true. Sure, it wasn't terrible to listen to, but it was lacking in a few areas.
That didn't matter though, because playing was enough for her. So growing up, she played recitals, and was given lessons by her great aunt. The summer before her freshman year of high school, the woman that had played such a huge role in her life passed away. That woman was great aunt Fleur. It devastated the whole Dent family, and although her house was left to them in her will, the place only brought back too many painful memories. Instead, they sold the large property to someone who opened a B&B, because Fleur always enjoyed going to B&B's.
In search of another home, Camilla and her family moved to Heron Cove where she then started high school. It was a rocky start for her, because she was so depressed after the loss of her aunt. But eventually, she was able to move on. She made friends, she found her niche, and hoped that the rest of her high school career would go smoothly.

appearance/clothing;
Camilla has a very young look to her. Her face is the standard oval shape, finished off with porcelain skin. Her big brown eyes are often accentuated with eyeliner and mascara, maybe even eyeshadow if she feels the need to. Moving onto her nose, which comes to the usual delicate point. She was a stud piercing on her left nostril, but she sometimes regrets getting it. Travel southward and you'll find her lips, which are not too thin and not too pouty. When she smiles, they open to reveal a straight white smile that is the results of two years worth of orthodontia. This young face is framed by long black hair, that is often wavy, but sometimes she straightens it. This hair usually covers her ears, but when they're not covered, you can see that she only has her ears pierced twice. She wants to get her cartilage done, but she hasn't gotten around to it.
As for Camilla's fashion sense, you could say she's a bit.. ecclectic. She loves bright colors, and experimenting with things people would never wear. She's very daring like that. As long as she thinks it looks cute, she'll wear it, and not consider what others think. Yes, there are some people who speculate that she dresses like every other scene person, and that is more or less true. But she just dresses the way she likes, and if that happens to be considered "scene" then so be it. A usual outfit of Camilla's would consist of skinny jeans, a bright top, and a pair of either Converse or Vans. When she's feeling lazy, she'll just put on some pajama pants/sweats, and a sweatshirt, along with her glasses. But you'll hardly ever see Camilla like that.
description;
Creative. Camilla loves to play the piano, as well as put together outfits, whether they be for herself or for her friends. She tends to think outside of the box, which makes certain classes in school such as art and literature good classes for her. Some people misconstrue her creativity for being weird, but that's really just how she is. Her imagination is endless, and she often puts it to use.
Outgoing. Camilla is not afraid to go up to a total stranger and strike up conversation. This of course is not always good. Actually, sometimes it can be dangerous. But that doesn't stop Camilla from being what she is. Being outgoing is just something she cannot get rid of. Making new friends is almost always her goal for the day, because she figures you can never have too many. Growing up, Camilla was a shy girl so she wants to make up for it now.
Hopeless romantic. Camilla likes to stay detached from guys and has a good number of guy friends, but that's only a facade to her boy-crazy side. She loves guys just as much as the next (straight) girl, but she doesn't like to show it. She thinks that putting yourself so out there can only result in being hurt, so she stays safe with her "just friends." Secretly, she wants to find someone requite her love, but she's willing to just let everything happen as it happens, and wait.
Secretive. As mentioned before, Camilla hides her hopeless romantic side of her personality. That's just one example of the secrets she keeps. Camilla doesn't like to let her guard down, so only gives certain bits of information to certain people. Usually she's good at keeping her friends satisfied with what she's giving them, but when it comes to deep conversations, she gets nervous, and immediately puts a wall up. She doesn't particularly like this flaw, but she figures it keeps her safe from letting people get too close, which could end up in her being hurt.

She knew she was a fish out of water when she came here. Everyone was so posh, and rich, and just.. lovely. Sometimes Camilla couldn't help but be envious of the lifestyles of the members of Wilshire Country Club, but she always managed to reassure herself that she was content with her life. Truthfully, honestly, she was content with not being rich, or in the spotlight. She wanted to be famous, of course, but for her writing capabilities and not for how many publicity stunts she could pull in a week. That was one of her pet peeves --celebrities who didn't know when to give up. They could either fall gracefully or fall clumsily, and greedily do anything to climb their way back to the top.
Camilla had a special "PRESS" badge around her neck that also said her name in neat, typed letters. Arriving in the lobby, she checked in with the receptionist. The country club wasn't her ideal spot for an interview, but the celebrity had chosen it, so she had no say in the matter. It was weird, how in her mind she referred to this person as "the celebrity" or plainly as "person." She had perhaps learned the name of this "person" while she was being briefed on her assignment, but she must have dozed off. Ah well, she would find out his/her name sooner or later. Wandering into the pool area where their meeting was previously planned to be, she took a seat on a lounge chair, her back straight, her expression poised. She had to give a good impression just as much as the celebrity did.
Camilla had arrived early as she always did, just so the magazine would not get a bad reputation for being tardy. But also for her her own sake, Camilla hated being late. Punctuality was a thing she lived for, even at the young sometimes reckless age of nineteen. After a few moments, she could see a figure emerge from the glass doors of the building. She wasn't sure if that was the person she was interviewing, but she got her papers out anyway. On them were questions from fans, as well as ones from the magazine itself.
